ABOUT CSR MAGAZINE
Competition Success Review, often abbreviated as CSR, is a general at students who wish to appear for Union Public Service Commission exams. Its content includes general knowledge with a focus on Indian current events, tips for college interviews, interviews with IAS high-rankers, interview and GD tips and sample question papers for different competitive examinations. It was first published in 1964 as a pull-out supplement.
Context
This project focuses on creating a seamless, secure, and affordable Personal Health Record (PHR) platform. The goal is to provide users with a simple way to aggregate, access, and share their healthcare data across trusted platforms and organisations.
By prioritizing intuitive navigation, clear data visualization, and robust privacy controls, the platform ensures users can manage their health information with confidence. Designed as a cost-effective alternative to existing solutions, it also supports healthcare providers by offering an easy-to-integrate, compliant system for patient data management. The project emphasizes user empowerment through accessibility, customization, and security.

Challenge
The key challenge in this UX project was designing a platform that simplifies the complex process of managing healthcare data while maintaining strict privacy and security standards. Users needed a system that could seamlessly aggregate records from various sources, such as hospitals, clinics, and personal devices, without overwhelming them with information.
Balancing simplicity with functionality was crucial, especially when creating intuitive data-sharing features that gave users control over what they shared and with whom. Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA, while delivering a smooth and cohesive user experience across different devices and platforms, added further complexity to the project.
Clinical data
The clinical data section, accessed from the top navigation, organizes key health information—appointments, encounters, labs, immunizations, vitals, and more—into a clear, card-based layout. It offers quick access to specific data with customisable filters, making navigation simple and efficient.
Unlike traditional EHR platforms, this design emphasises personalisation, allowing users to prioritise relevant data and view timelines of their health history, offering a more intuitive and streamlined experience for managing and sharing records.
The laboratory data section provides users with a detailed, easy-to-read summary of test results, organized by date and test type, with the ability to track trends over time for better health insights.
The allergies and intolerances section offers a concise overview of known reactions, highlighting severity and potential risks, allowing users to easily share this critical information with healthcare providers.
The vitals section presents users with a clear display of essential health metrics—such as blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature—enabling easy tracking of trends over time for proactive health management.
The design system
The design system for the platform was developed to ensure consistency, scalability, and a user-friendly experience across all interfaces. It includes a comprehensive set of design guidelines, reusable components, and style assets that define typography, color palettes, iconography, and layout principles.
Each component is designed with accessibility in mind, ensuring that all users, including those with disabilities, can interact with the platform effectively. We incorporated modular design elements that allow for easy updates and adaptability as the platform evolves, fostering collaboration between design and development teams. By utilizing a centralized documentation system, team members can efficiently access resources and maintain adherence to the established design principles, ensuring a cohesive user experience throughout the platform.
